Exercise: Start Some Stories

Start a document with 2-3 story ideas, each one including:

• Premise: the summary of the story, “Princess is rescued by dragon from brutish knight. She marries the dragon and becomes a fierce warrior queen.”
• Theme: the message of the story that you want the audience to take home, “Women should decide their own happily ever after.”
• Characters (if you need them)
• The ending
• The beginning
